Worcestershire Data Protection Officers Group Interest

Caroline James, Data and Office Manager at New College Worcester, is considering setting up a local support group for staff responsible for co-ordinating data protection procedures and policy in their schools.

The group would be open to all schools (both for state maintained - local authority or academies - and the independent sector) irrespective of the MIS the school uses.

What are the group objectives?

Her thoughts so far are that you could share good practice, discuss any issues, exchange staff training ideas, pass on any useful information and consider any changes or advice that comes from the Information Commissioner's Office. The group might meet once or twice a year or just be an email support group.
