Coronavirus: communication to Peritech-supported schools

Coronavirus: communication to Peritech-supported schools (24/03/20)

Following on from our last communication on 19 March 2020 and following the latest guidelines from the Prime Minister on 23 March 2020, we are writing to let you know our plans for your ongoing Peritech support.

All our services remain fully open, although there will be some changes in the ways that they are delivered.

For the safety of our staff and our schools, all Peritech visits will be delivered remotely until further notice.

Where possible, your 'visits' will still take place in your scheduled slots, will still be three hours long, and will still be delivered by your usual Peritech. Peritechs will attempt to contact school staff in advance of their ‘visit’ to find out about any issues, otherwise they will continue working through the job list on your Online Logbook. It might be a good opportunity to ensure that all of your staff are set up to use this system - we are happy to help with this if required.

With remote Peritech 'visits', there are obviously limitations to the work that can be carried out. However, it will allow us to concentrate on your server setups and online systems. There is also an opportunity to progress projects, such as any outstanding work to complete your Windows 10 migration.

All remote ‘visits’ will be marked as such in the 'Scheduled Visits' section of the Online Logbook; you will also notice reference being made to this in information about the Peritech's next visit, and in your visit reminder emails. You will continue to receive links to visit summary sheets as normal.

If an onsite visit is absolutely necessary then please contact our Service Desk via email on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we will do our best to make some suitable arrangements.

Many thanks for your cooperation and understanding during these uncertain times.

Take care and stay safe.
